Gill Books A/W '20 Campaign

Gill Books x Circulate: Sunday Business Post

Gill Books appointed Circulate as their digital partner to launch their autumn ‘20 release schedule. With some of the most prominent names and titles in Ireland, this was a first for Gill as they steered from their traditional in-person launches towards a digital campaign launch. It was also a first for Circulate as we turned our campaign skills to a wholly different sector.
Circulate prompted Gill to deftly pivot their strategy to ensure successful releases for their diverse range of authors and releases. With a multi-platform digital campaign for each release, Circulate took on the challenge of bringing Gill’s catalogue to life, the perfect example of how real-world events can transform into digital and provide a new creative avenue for a particular industry.

Consumers are watching an average of 16 hours of online video content per week, with 84% of people saying they’ve been convinced to buy a product or service by watching a brand’s video. This identifies a 31% success rate for marketing campaigns.
Gill Books’ main objective of the digital campaign was to increase sales and elevate the brand presence online.
In order to achieve the objective, each book release was accompanied by a tailored multi-platform digital campaign that Circulate devised.
The impressive A/W schedule boasted releases from Luke O’Neill, Keelin Shanley, Neven Maguire, Niall Breslin, Rory O’Connell, Martina Cox, Ellen Coyne, Bernard O’Shea, and John Creedon to name a few.

The campaign entailed a completely online format, utilizing a strategic digital campaign for each release, highly targeted ads, social media content and design, and collaborations. In total, the full campaign included a total of 10 book releases, 2 photography suites 6 individual video concepts, and as a result, a number of the releases were nominated for the An Post Irish Book Awards, with four taking home prized titles.
